Blues Disciples
About Us -

Blues Disciples Productions' mission is to help create high quality Blues and Roots music performances in the New York area and, in doing so, to be able to provide assistance to those in need.

The Blues Disciples operate as a non-profit corporation.  Any and all income in excess of expenses to produce our shows goes to support other non-profit entities who are dedicated to fighting hunger in our communities and to non-profit entities who support musicians needing assistance.

For all of our many, many years Jamie Anthony and Richard Ludmerer, The Blues Disciples have been passionate blues and roots music fans.

- Jamie has been a fan and lover of the Blues since his early
years growing up in Atlanta where he would talk his way into The Royal Peacock  night club to see Jimmy Reed, Bettye LaVette and other Blues Greats perform in their early prime and then go over to the Blue Lantern drive-in to see and hear Blind Willie McTell play for the customers in the Lantern's parking lot.

- Richard has a passionate appreciation and knowledge of the various current Blues artists through his involvement with Blues societies and has been a contributing editor/writer for Blueswax, the online version of Blues Review magazine. Currently, Richard is Contributing Editor for MakingAScene.org, a fast growing and comprehensive music website.
