Show 145 – Recorded 8-28-21 This podcast features excerpts from an interview with noted blues scholar, ethnomusicologist, blues artist, coach, field recorder and producer, Dr David Evans who tells us about two of his published albums including why and how he wrote the songs he wrote. This podcast features 11 outstanding blues, jug band and gospel selections including collaborations with artists such as the legendary jug band artist Mr Hammie Nixon and co-founder of country blues, folk and rock band Canned Heat and harmonica wizard, Mr Alan Wilson. These songs were recorded between 1964 and 2007. Now, after more than 14 years some of these songs are suddenly, in the moment.
